Personalised GCSE maths tuition in York is the theme that runs through the feedback for MathsWithSophie, with parents and pupils alike crediting the tutor's clear explanations and patient approach. A handful of customers describe how Sophie breaks down complex topics into manageable steps, tailoring each session to the individual learner rather than following a fixed plan. A recurring point is the boost in confidence that students gain, with one family noting their grandson found ways of solving problems that had not clicked at school.

Reviews time and again mention grade improvements, including a retake result that moved up a grade, and another pupil passing an exam they had doubted was possible. The friendly, professional manner of the tutor comes up often, with sessions described as enjoyable as well as productive. Parents value the encouragement to explore the subject and the willingness to revisit explanations until they are understood. Sophie's ability to spark a lasting enthusiasm for mathematics, beyond simply preparing for an exam, is highlighted by more than one family, and the supportive, tailored teaching style is a consistent feature of the accounts.
