Kip McGrath Education Centre - Sheffield East

Kip McGrath Education Centre - Sheffield East is a private tutoring provider focused on English and maths tuition. Its tutors are qualified teachers. Each 80-minute session includes one-on-one attention with a tutor and a combination of written and computer-based activities in a small group learning environment. The centre offers a free assessment. It provides tutoring for primary and secondary school students.

Tuition is available for GCSE exams, A Levels, and 11+ and SATS. The centre is part of Kip McGrath, which was founded in 1976 by qualified teachers Kip and Dugnea McGrath in New South Wales, Australia. Kip McGrath has over 500 centres worldwide. The centre uses a proven methodology developed over 45 years. It provides ongoing progress reports and regular tutor feedback.

Mr Hassan runs sessions at this Kip McGrath centre on Attercliffe Road, working mainly on Maths for pupils ranging from primary age through to GCSE. Reviewers describe a safe, friendly environment that has helped children regain ground after time away from school, including one pupil who had been hospitalised for months and returned to make strong progress in Maths. SATs preparation is mentioned repeatedly, with parents crediting the centre for results that exceeded what was required, and several reviews describe children moving up sets at school as a direct result of attendance.

Both in-person and online tutoring are offered, giving families flexibility around how sessions are attended. Parents describe Mr Hassan as attentive to individual concerns, listening to specific areas a family wants addressed and building a plan around them. Reviewers also note children being keen to attend each week rather than needing persuading, with several parents describing the tuition as something their child looked forward to rather than resisted. The centre is open every day, including evenings until half past ten. Pricing, group sizes and formal qualifications are not detailed in the reviews available.
