SAFF-Tuition Centre

SAFF-Tuition Centre, based at the Princess Park Methodist Youth Centre on Beaconsfield Street, is described by reviewers as covering a wide subject range, from Maths and English through to business studies and the sciences, across SATs, KS3, GCSE and A-level. Tutors Alice, for English, and Amani, for Maths, are named specifically, with reviewers describing clear, engaging teaching that breaks challenging topics into manageable steps and structured lessons that build towards specific exam boards' requirements.

One pupil describes moving from a low grade seven towards an eight or nine in English with Alice's support, while another credits a short period of intensive tuition before A-levels with achieving three A grades across biology, chemistry and maths. Several reviewers mention the centre's role covering gaps left by delayed school placements, with group and individual lessons used to help a pupil catch up after a wait of several months for a secondary place. Value for money and a welcoming atmosphere come up repeatedly, with more than one reviewer describing fair pricing relative to the quality of teaching received. The centre runs weekday evening sessions from five until nine, with Saturday afternoon and early evening sessions, and is closed on Sundays.
