Mearns Castle Education Centre

Mearns Castle Education Centre provides private Maths and English tuition. The centre serves East Renfrewshire, Glasgow and the surrounding areas. Tuition covers all levels including S1 and S2 Broad General Education (BGE), National 5, and Higher. The centre also offers tutoring for primary school learners across all ages and stages.

Teachers are fully qualified and experienced teaching professionals, and each teacher supports up to 4 pupils per session. The centre has decades of experience. Students come from Glasgow South, Newton Mearns, East Kilbride, Busby, Giffnock, Newlands, Thornliebank, Clarkston, Eaglesham, Shawlands, Cathcart, Muirend, and Crookston. A teacher named Stephen is mentioned in a testimonial.

Evening classes at Mearns Castle Education Centre, based at the Golf Academy on Waterfoot Road, are described consistently around exam results at National 5, Higher and Advanced Higher level. Parents mention English tuition alongside Maths, with one family describing a son who went on to study Medicine at St Andrews after Higher English support and a daughter who scored well enough at National 5 to continue into Higher level with the same centre.

Tutor Stephen is named specifically in connection with an Advanced Higher Maths result that one parent describes as excellent, and other reviewers mention lessons tailored to what a pupil needs beyond simply following the school curriculum, with individual attention given within each session. A clear pattern across accounts is improved confidence and understanding translating directly into A grades, with more than one family reporting delight at results achieved. Sessions run on Tuesday evenings from quarter past four until seven and on Thursdays from four until six, giving families in the Mearns Castle and Waterfoot area two structured evening slots each week rather than daily availability.
