Kip McGrath - Leicester Clarendon Park

Kip McGrath was founded in 1976 in New South Wales, Australia, by qualified teachers Kip and Dugnea McGrath. The franchise has more than 500 centres worldwide. The Leicester Clarendon Park centre is run by directors David and Jane Park, both qualified teachers. David Park has recently been a secondary Headteacher, specialising in maths.

Jane Park has taught throughout the primary years, most recently as Key Stage 2 leader, teaching Year 6, and is currently a qualified KS2 moderator for writing. All tutors are qualified teachers. Small learning groups have no more than five students per session. Kip McGrath Leicester Clarendon Park offers English and maths tutoring to primary and secondary school students, in centre or online. The centre is Ofsted Registered.

Kip McGrath - Leicester Clarendon Park has built a reputation in Leicester for personalised tuition that responds to each pupil's individual needs. Several customers describe the support their children have received as tailored and consistent, with the experience and expertise of the teaching team credited for helping pupils achieve GCSE grades they had previously thought out of reach. A theme running through the feedback is the friendly and welcoming atmosphere, with named tutors such as David, Jane and Esther frequently singled out for their ability to make difficult topics understandable and even enjoyable.

More than one review highlights the progress made in mathematics, including work on topics such as trigonometry, surds and non-calculator papers, and one parent notes how well the team accommodated a child's special educational needs. The results reported range from improvements of several grades to a pupil who moved from working at Grade 1 towards much stronger outcomes. The initial enquiry process is also described as supportive from the outset, with families feeling understood and guided throughout.
