My son passed his 11+ test thanks to Pete and Franny! They are a great team and know everything needed to pass the grammar test. Both highly experienced teachers, who have patience and understanding for every child's need and support.

Our experience was that these sessions are not useful if you have a child who is already at the higher end of the ability range. We signed our son up for one of the evening Kingsbury 11+ courses. He attended 4 or 5 of them but each time he came home he told us that they were far below his level and also seemed to be a good bit below the level that his class was working at at school. We contacted Kingsbury to check whether the difficulty level was likely to rise as they worked towards the exam and to report that our son was not being challenged or stretched during the sessions. We received a reply that seemed to have been copied and pasted from several sources (all the fonts were different in different passages) essentially telling us that we should continue the sessions without addressing our concerns. We stopped the sessions and just got him to do practice papers at home. He did amazingly well in the 11+, a very long way over the necessary admittance score. I'm not trying to be unfair or critical - if your child is about average at school then these courses are likely to be helpful. However if you have a child who is very bright then they may well find them tedious and boring: in that case perhaps don't waste your time or money would be our advice.

I must say that booking mock tests and study sessions with Kingsbury education to help my daughter pass the 11+ was one of the best investments I’ve ever made. Not only she got a very solid passing grade but she also got 100% on the English test, which is amazing, especially considering she is not a native English speaker. If you are considering hiring tutoring for the 11+ I would definitely recommend you look into booking it with Kingsbury education.
