Amazing maths tutor! Barney has really supported and expanded our son’s maths ability throughout his A level year. We’d recommend him without reservation.

Barney has been a wonderful A level tutor for my son Tom. He really enjoys his lessons and his confidence has grown so much. Tom has so much respect for Barney and looks forward to talking all the mathematical problems through with him. Barney has been such a find and I have already put my younger son on his list for 2027!

Barney is a brilliant tutor, he was very quick to identify my strengths and weaknesses and could curate our time so that it was enjoyable, but at the same time, he filled the gaps and boosted my confidence as well as my mathematical understanding, and it was his work that put me at ease with my GCSE’s and solidified me getting a 9 in maths. He made maths feel like playtime and set my path in maths.

I really enjoy my Further Maths lessons with Barney- with every lesson, I feel more confident as I move closer to my exams. Barney’s approach to explaining concepts that I had previously struggled to grasp is always positive and encouraging, and each lesson I come away with helpful notes and examples to review and look back on.

Tom’s achieved an ‘A’ in maths, and so is off to his first choice University to study Civil Engineering. We are so happy that we found you when we did in February, as Tom had scored a ‘C’ in his most recent mock exam, and needed some help and guidance to get him back on track. Your fantastic tutoring over the next few months gave him the confidence to go on and fulfil his potential in his A levels, and I am sure that he will carry that confidence on to his degree studies.
