As a mum of two, Dolores’ classes offer precious “me time” and a chance to reconnect with my creativity. I’m not a confident artist, but her sessions guide you gently through a journey of exploration. Packed with helpful tips, this group is truly good for the soul.

Just completed my first block of six sessions. Delores was very welcoming and the classes were informative, chilled and relaxing. The group had all age ranges and abilities and any anxiety about trying something new soon disappeared. Would highly recommend for anyone who wants to try somthing new or maybe improve your skills or just want to have a couple of hours away from the telly. On a practical note there is a carpark and the sessions are held in a nice warm space with brew making facilities.

Where do I begin? Dolores has an impressive breadth of art knowledge and an incredible creative range. She is attentive to the different needs and interests of her students, whether that’s printmaking or painting with acrylics. I’ve been particularly impressed by her eagerness to make everyone feel welcome and supported, allowing each of us to work at our own pace. I’ve really enjoyed delving into acrylics and experimenting with different techniques for drawing people. Dolores creates an encouraging and inspiring environment, and her passion for teaching truly shines through.

I started classes at college with Dolores over three years ago and absolutely loved her teaching approach from the very beginning. She is extremely passionate about what she does and truly caters to each individual’s expression, encouraging us to explore and grow through a wide range of media and techniques. I now attend her weekly classes and genuinely learn something new every single week. The environment she creates is friendly, caring, and incredibly supportive, which makes learning both comfortable and inspiring. Everyone is welcomed, encouraged, and supported, regardless of experience level. I couldn’t recommend her classes enough for all ages and abilities, from complete beginners to advanced students. There’s a real sense of community where everyone helps one another, guided by Dolores’s excellent direction and the immense knowledge she so generously shares.

I first started taking classes with Dolores in a beginners art class when she was still teaching at the college, and went on to get a level 1 NCFE certificate with her. She is a brilliant teacher, very encouraging, and there is a friendly and supportive group of people in the classes. Regardless of your current skill level, beginner or returning and wanting to further develop your skills, Dolores will have something to help you achieve your goals.
