About the company
Stem Cell Tuition was founded by Jason Lomas, a qualified secondary and FE teacher with QTS and 15 years' active teaching experience. He previously served as Head of Biology at a large state school for over five years and as Head of GCSE Science for over two years, alongside more than eight years as an exam board examiner across three exam boards.
He now focuses exclusively on OCR A Biology A-level, having previously also run an AQA scholarship, and has supported students across STEM subjects from KS3 to KS5.

The GOAT of A Level Bio. The only accurate, consistent and mark scheme specific notes on OCR A Level Biology A. Top notch Biobud website with an extremely helpful and biology focused AI, and the Stem Cell tuition website with a bunch of videos and links to the glorious workbooks. Truly couldn't have made it this fair in A Level Bio without his help. Great teacher creating emotive lessons and dingbats, will never forget those fun and educational lessons.
Jason is an amazing tutor!! He massively improved my confidence and performance in a- level biology. Previously I was stuck in the D range for grades but with Jason’s tutoring I managed to jump 4 grades. It really made me have more faith in myself and Jason always pushed us to our full potential. I could not recommend Jason anymore! He is amazing. He goes above and beyond to support us all through our exams, for both exam boards. He is genuinely an amazing tutor and so helpful, from helping with tutor sessions, to asking questions out of sessions and all of his prediction papers. All 10/10! Make sure you use Stem Cell Tuition.
I cannot recommend enough. They are incredibly patient, organised, and know the GCSE curriculum inside out. Recordings of the live lesson and past paper assessments are positive . Lessons are very Interactive At last it’s worth every penny
Stem cell tuition is incredible. Nothing is too much trouble. My son really likes the tutor and is confident to ask for help which isn’t easy as a teenager. Stem cell takes the pressure off. Highly recommended. Xxxx
