Rose Tuition - Nottingham

Rose Tuition was founded in 2024 by Danny Rose. Danny Rose was previously a biomedical scientist before retraining as a teacher, and worked as a science teacher in Nottinghamshire. All tutors hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and are enhanced DBS checked. Group sessions are capped at 10 students.

Rose Tuition was shortlisted for Professional Tutor of the Year at the National Tutoring Awards 2026. Rose Tuition teaches at Nottingham Girls' High School in Nottingham City Centre and has a flagship centre in Kimberley. Rose Tuition offers small group sessions, one-to-one tuition, and online tuition for families further afield. Rose Tuition covers Maths, English and Science for KS2 through to A Level. Rose Tuition serves Nottingham and the East Midlands.

Parents in Nottingham consistently describe confidence building as the defining feature of their children's tuition here. Many explain that sons and daughters arrived doubting themselves in science and maths, then found their understanding and enjoyment transformed. Danny is repeatedly thanked by name for patient, engaging teaching that helps difficult topics fall into place, with Louisa also receiving thanks. Progress is reported concretely, including stronger mock results, GCSE passes and grades that secured college places. Small group sizes come up often, particularly because they allow quieter pupils to participate in online sessions, alongside one-to-one maths lessons for a Year 10 pupil.

A recurring theme is the structured approach, with tutors first checking what a pupil already knows before focusing on weaker areas, and notes sent by email afterwards so material can be revisited. Sessions are arranged through a straightforward online system, and tutors are described as professional and skilled at keeping students engaged throughout. Parents consistently report that their children now enjoy learning and have grown more assured at school, with several crediting the tuition directly for exam success in science and English.
