George Bacon Maths Tutoring

George is exactly what parents and students look for in a tutor: he’s honest, kind, clear, and at the core of it all he’s an absolutely excellent teacher. One of the very best. My son’s confidence has been boosted enormously from the time he has spent with George; he feels able to communicate more openly about what he finds difficult but equally can recognise what he is capable of in a way that he hasn’t before. I am a teacher of English and my maths can’t compete with modern GCSE demands. It has been such a relief to be able to entrust my son to George, knowing that he will receive the educational care and attention that I would give him myself, if I was able. You know that teacher that everybody secretly hopes their child will get at school? That’s George. He is an absolute gift.

George has been supporting our son with his maths for well over a year, and the progress has been fantastic. We’ve seen a huge improvement in both his confidence and his grades as he approaches his final GCSE exams, to the point where he now feels confident enough to take an additional GCSE Maths paper. George is always reliable, never cancels, is consistently on time, and communicates brilliantly with parents. We would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a dedicated and supportive maths tutor.

Since going to George’s maths tutorial my son has improved so much, in fact after just a couple of months my son has gone from an “average” student expecting a 3 or 4 in maths to being asked by his maths teacher if he would like to sit the higher exam paper which could give him a much higher grade. Thank you George for all your help and continued support.

George has done great job of understanding our son's strengths and growth areas and then tailoring his tutoring around our son's needs. We've noticed a significant improvement in his comprehension and confidence in his maths since starting the tutoring so a good job done!

My son has recently started maths tuition with George and what a difference it has made. My son actually seems to enjoy maths now and comes out of each lesson smiling! He says George explains everything clearly and they cover so much because he makes it so much easier to understand. George plans the lessons, sets homework and provides support. I feel so reassured that my son is making such good progress as a home ed student. I couldn't be more pleased and would highly recommend George

George has helped build my son’s confidence in the run up to GCSEs no end! He has explained things in a no nonsense way and gives him time to get to grips with the concepts before moving on. My son has a session with a couple of other boys which means he is able to ask questions in a safe environment, especially good when they would rather not put their hand up in a classroom full of children! I would thoroughly recommend George for helping to boost a child’s confidence in the maths department.

George has helped our daughter develop her confidence in maths and set herself aspirational goals for her GCSEs. He makes the sessions fun and enjoyable and plans ways forward using gaps in her knowledge. We would highly recommend his tutoring service!
