Edinburgh Science and Maths Tutor

At short notice Rhona took on my son for maths tutoring as he tracked a fail after his Nat 5 assessments. In a short space of time, Rhona had him confident in his work and he has received an A! I cannot recommend Rhona enough, apart from this fantastic result she was always flexible with sessions especially over holidays, helpful and friendly.

Rhona is a fantastic tutor. She really helped my daughter through her higher maths. Increasing her knowledge and confidence in areas of the curriculum she was struggling. I would highly recommend Rhona.

Rhona provided my daughter with wonderful support throughout her Nat 5 Chemistry course, building her confidence by working through the content in a very approachable style, demystifying tricky parts of the curriculum, and providing reassurance. She offered a warm, welcoming atmosphere in which to learn, kept my daughter motivated and focused throughout the course, and helped her achieve an A grade.

Rhona is an outstanding tutor and her students flourish. She first tutored my daughter through her national 5 maths. She had always felt weak in maths, had little confidence and seemed to falter. Rhona was able to understand her, speak at the right level, help her to develop skills in a relaxed way. I saw a transformation, into a girl who could identify and understand concepts, solve them with more confidence, approach the subject with less fear and she achieved an A grade. She then tutored her on Highers Biology in which she had been struggling and heading for a fail. Again a more confident child and a Good B grade. We were delighted. Rhona was lovely, a perfect tutor, who could bring the best out of any student.

We have had only good experiences with Rhona. She helped my daughter achieve A grades at higher More importantly, she felt comfortable enough to ask for extra help on topics she found difficult so anything that she didn’t pick up in class, she could make sure she really understood. She really is a fantastic tutor!

Both of my teenagers have been tutored by Rhona for a mix of maths, biology and chemistry at nat 5, higher and advanced higher level. Rhona is incredibly knowledgeable and experienced and understands the curriculum. She is friendly, approachable and patient and supports each young person at their own level, giving them the confidence to succeed. My kids found the sessions enjoyable and we’re supported in achieving good grades. I would highly recommend Rhona.
