Gurukul's 11+ Tuition service on Mill Lane prepares pupils specifically for grammar school entrance exams, including Blue Coat Liverpool, through a structured programme of weekly sessions, mock tests and a creative writing workshop that reviewers mention as particularly useful for building exam-ready writing skills. Tutors Catherine, Venkat and Kavita are named repeatedly across reviews, with Kavita specifically praised for keeping parents updated between sessions and available to answer queries about a child's progress. A consistent theme is detailed feedback after assessments, with parents describing review sessions that identify exactly where a child went wrong and how to correct it, rather than simply providing a score.

Several reviewers mention the programme's coverage of English, Maths and non-verbal reasoning together, describing children who started as early as Year 4 and built up steadily through regular homework set via the Atom Learning platform alongside in-person teaching. Parents describe the process as demanding at times, reflecting the competitive nature of grammar school entry, but say the structured curriculum and consistent monitoring of progress helped their children approach mock and final assessments with considerably more confidence than they started with.
