I have found this experience truly indescribably helpful! As a second year university student determined to achieve a high grade in my dissertation I knew I would have to start earlier to prepare! I started off by seeing if I can prep myself online but found so much jargon and confusion on what was truly expected of me - so I turned to Uber tutors. My matched tutor was immensely helpful. We have used Uber Tutors since 2013 for both our children at different stages of their education. I can’t imagine a better service. So much care is taken to fully understand the specific needs at the time and each tutor has been a perfect match personality wise and academically. The sessions are structured as a whole programme and individually depending on the progress and a full feedback report is sent after each one. Uber tutors helped my son to improve from year 8 level(when he was at year 10) to year 11 within one year. They have a very good system that starts by assessing the the level of the child and then recommended the lessons required. However it doesn't end there. They also consider the child's personality and meticulously find the best tutor who would mach with the child. Prior to Uber tutors we tried a few other companies but none had a proper system in place. The tutors are very knowledgeable and helpful. There's clear and effective communication between the teacher and parents and a detailed feedback provided at the end of each and every lesson. I looked for an essay writing summer tutor for my children as I feel the English system does not focus on teaching children how to present analytical thinking in written form but rather mainly on content. It seems to be assumed that the children will find their way to writing good essays (and clearly many do). However, coming from the American system, in which the process of HOW to write a good essay is taught almost as a standalone subject, I felt that my children would be best served going into a writing task with the strongest possible toolset so that the ideas and ultimately what to write would become their only challenge. How to write would be second nature. I contacted Tania at Uber Tutors after a lot of research and, via her incredibly personalised interview approach, she matched a fantastic tutor with my children. Over the course of the summer, they learned how to structure, present and write an argument. They also learned how to incorporate evidence, be it literary, historical or data driven. Not only do they now approach every school essay confidently (dare I say enthusiastically?) but their teachers have mentioned their writing skills to me across the curriculum. After 2 years off from my master program and outside of the UK, as an international student I struggled so much coming back to campus for essays writing and academic research to complete my master program and final dissertation in only few months.
