TutoringDoctors

TutoringDoctors is a private tutoring provider based in Edinburgh that has been operating since 2018. It offers 1:1 tutoring, weekly live classes, exam preparation, and grade improvement for GCSE and A-Level students across a wide array of subjects. The service includes medicine interview mentoring.

TutoringDoctors' tutors provide complimentary mentorship to students. All services shifted online due to the pandemic, but in-person teaching can be facilitated if a student prefers it. Small group tuition lessons are also hosted. TutoringDoctors has tutors from diverse academic backgrounds, including medical backgrounds. A free 30-minute consultation is available.

Round-the-clock availability is listed for this Edinburgh-based tutoring service, and several reviews describe siblings, including a brother and a nephew, being referred on after a first family member had a positive experience. A-level chemistry is named specifically in one review as the subject covered, with the tutor described as communicative and accommodating around scheduling.

More generally, reviewers describe topics being explained in a tailored way that made previously difficult material easier to follow, with more than one family reporting a significant improvement in grades alongside growing confidence. A pupil preparing to study medicine credits the support received during A-levels with helping achieve a long-standing ambition to secure a university place, while other reviews focus on exam readiness more broadly, describing sessions as engaging and effective at building confidence ahead of assessments.

One reviewer, writing from the perspective of a tutor working for the company rather than a parent, describes feeling valued and the wider team as professional and supportive in its communication. Consistency across the reviews is notable: explanations are repeatedly called clear, methods are described as tailored to the individual rather than generic, and families return to the service for additional children once an initial experience has gone well.
