My daughter and my niece come here, Sarah is an excellent tutor. Sarah takes the time to explain things when my daughter is unsure and makes sure she understands. I would definitely recommend Sarah if you are looking for a reliable tutor.

Sarah’s been tutoring my son for just over 6 months now and she has made a huge difference to his confidence and to his achievements in both maths and English. In his words ‘Sarah explains things so I understand.’ Sarah plans the weekly lessons but she is always flexible and has encouraged him to take his school work if he’s struggling with something he’s learning in class, often explaining things in a different way that suits him better. I highly recommend Sarah.

Our daughter has been tutored by Sarah since June 2025, she really enjoys her session every week. Since being diagnosed with dyslexia and having very little support from school, we looked to find a tutor who could instill her with more confidence in Maths and English. I contacted Sarah at Thorpe tuition to help provide one to one tuition for my son in the last few months leading up his GCSE English exams. Sarah was very helpful and despite not having a free place at my first contact, she contacted me a couple of weeks later to say she had a space becoming available. My son found Sarah very easy to work with and has come on in leaps and bounds, particularly in English Language and in exam preparation. Sarah is well connected to local schools so has a handle on the curriculum choices, and also knows many of the English teachers. Sarah has always been available to discuss progress and tailoring the learning and workload to suit. I would certainly recommend Sarah to anyone seeking additional one to one study time, learning support or exam preparation.

My daughter Robyn has been going to Sarah since end of October and the process that she has made in this time has been amazing. Robyn had lost all confidence in her maths and week by week we could see this growing back, the tears stopped and Robyn had a much calmer approach. We have been using Sarah to provide Matts and English tutoring for our daughter since 2022. Our daughter was struggling to apply the correct mathematical theories to math problems in years 7/8 due to the affect of COVID.. Sarah has worked with her to expand her knowledge and confidence which we are seeing in better math test scores and sets.
