IEL Tutors

IEL Tutors has served the Reading area since 2010. Babar Masood is the Director. All tutors are qualified teachers and are DBS checked. The company provides GCSE and A Level Maths and Science tuition.

Babar Masood and Dr Missah are named repeatedly among the tutors at IEL Tutors, based at a church hall on Orts Road in Reading, with sessions running on weekday evenings and shorter Saturday and Sunday slots. Reviewers describe eleven-plus, GCSE and A-level tuition with a particular focus on maths and science, alongside patient, knowledgeable teaching that adapts explanations to individual learning needs.

Something reviewers return to is students given the space to work through answers themselves, with reviewers noting that tutors focus on weak points without rushing pupils past material they have not yet grasped. Several reviewers mention significant improvement in specific subjects, including one student who moved from failing maths to achieving a considerably higher grade than teachers at school had predicted. Reviewers also highlight a friendly, inclusive atmosphere where pupils feel comfortable asking questions without fear of being judged, alongside consistent quality maintained through the disruption of remote learning during the pandemic.

Practice questions and clear, well-structured revision materials are mentioned as a strength, alongside easy scheduling and prompt feedback. Taken together, the reviews describe a tutoring provider whose combination of subject expertise across maths and science, patience with struggling students, and a supportive atmosphere is credited with measurable academic gains across eleven-plus, GCSE and A-level pupils.
