What customers say

Based on genuine customer reviews

Hull-based Hope Dyslexia Services supports children and teenagers facing challenges with reading, spelling, handwriting and comprehension, and Andrea, the tutor named in every account, is described as patient, warm and encouraging. Reviewers consistently report that she pinpoints each learner's gaps and builds sessions around them, so the work feels engaging rather than like additional schoolwork. Progress is the theme that surfaces most: parents note growing confidence in reading and comprehension, better spelling and handwriting, and gains in English and maths for a teenager who had missed a stretch of school after a dyslexia diagnosis.

Families speak of using the service for periods running from several months to over two years, and mention how Andrea accommodates the demands of busy households and helps children feel at ease while they learn. Repeatedly, parents remark that their children look forward to attending and treat the sessions as something enjoyable. One mother describes how her daughter's abilities and self-belief have grown, while another credits the tuition with clear improvement in her son's skills. The kindness shown to families, the carefully planned lessons and the visible results are what customers return to again and again.

Andrea is magic, I have no idea how shes made such significant progress in such little time. We've been attending 6 months and the progress made is amazing. We were worried she'd not want to do more school work after school but She loves going it isn't school work its fun and interactive and the results speak for themselves! Thank you Andrea!!

Our eldest son, aged 15 started tuition with Andrea to boost his confidence and missing skills in English and maths after a period of missing school and a dyslexia diagnosis. We looked at a couple of tutors including a specialist in GCSE. However Andreas professional yet naturally nurturing approach was the one he preferred. We're so glad he picked her. She assessed his learning gaps and made him feel comfortable and happy to learn. He has flourished seeing her once a week and has since had poems published and received an award for most improved student in maths at his college. Now our youngest son who has additional needs and had not attended school consistently for a couple of years due to unmet needs also sees Andrea once a week. He too has settled with her so easily and is finally taking off with his reading and maths skills. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Andrea. She has provided exactly what we wanted from tutoring, supported our boys to be confident in their abilities. She is consistent and compassionate in all her communications and we are excited to see the benefits of her support of both our boys.
