My 9-year-old daughter has been attending maths tuition with James at First Class Learning, and we couldn’t be happier with the progress she’s made. James and his team are patient, encouraging, and explain concepts in a way that really builds confidence. Her understanding and problem-solving skills have improved greatly, and it’s wonderful to see her feeling proud of her achievements. James always keeps us informed on her progress and where she should focus her efforts by setting weekly homework for her to do. I would highly recommend First Class Learning to any parent looking for supportive and effective maths tuition.
We needed to find additional tuition for our child in English and in Maths. For one reason or another he was a bit behind. We started him aged 9 with both English and maths classes. He gets a 1 hour class mid week with homework which we do with him. The biggest improvement was with confidence when he realised he could actually do the work and could progress if he worked hard. Granted we did give him monetary incentive. Pocket money only on completion of homework. The classes did give him a really big boost.
This is an excellent opportunity for the community to have such learning place in Oxford. My daughter learnt a lot since she joined Firt Class Learning. There is a friendly environment and James welcomes any questions, queries and concerns raised by the pupils and parents. I would highly recommend to join FCL. You will find this is the right learning place for your children.
My two kids went to fcl. James is just brilliant when it comes to understanding where kids are... pace their progress. My kids never felt pressurised or anxious. They really looked forward to their classes. Now both kids are in grammar schools. Thanks a ton James for all your help
I would definitely recommend James and First Class Learning for teaching mathematics. We joined in year 10 after my daughter was predicted a low grade at school. On our very first visit to have my daughter’s maths ability assessed, James’s on the spot feedback helped boost both her knowledge and confidence. Together they have built on this and my daughter is now approaching her GCSE exams with greater ability and confidence.
As a parent, it's always a joy to witness your child grow and excel, and my daughter's experience at First Class Learning in Oxford has been nothing short of transformative. James Nolan, the club's leader, and his team are doing an exceptional job, and the positive impact they are having on children's education is truly invaluable. Under his guidance, my daughter has not only enhanced her maths & English skills, but also developed a newfound confidence that is evident in her school performance and interactions. The club's environment is welcoming and inclusive, fostering a positive attitude towards learning. I highly recommend First Class Learning club to any parent looking for a supportive learning environment for their child.
My son is currently in year 4 and was struggling with his maths and English, it’s been 7 months now that he has joined First Class Learning centre and he already has improved so much, his class teacher is quite happy with his progress, and it’s such a good feeling when you get positive comment about your child from their class teacher…. I recommend FCL for kids who are struggling with their studies
