About the company
Teach My Child was founded in January 2019 by Sarah Lamerton, an online Maths tutor. Lamerton qualified as a teacher in 2003 and is a fully qualified, DBS checked teacher. She taught long term in two inner city schools and devoted almost two decades to teaching in inner city schools.
Lamerton trains teachers to teach Maths and mentors teachers across Plymouth. She was the instigator of 'Plymouth Rocks', an annual times tables competition involving dozens of Plymouth schools. Teach My Child offers online Maths tuition for ages 5-13 and face to face Maths tuition in Plymouth.

An amazing tutor who is now not just a tutor to my son but a good friend. Sarah not just tutored my son but listened to my sons day and accommodated his needs and made him improve wonderfully with maths a rare find is teach my child and a good find!
Maths tuition with Sarah has helped my daughters confidence grow, both academically and personally. Sarah is extremely knowledgeable, patient and understanding, using learning styles to suit every child's needs. Sarah has been teaching my son maths for the last four years. He went from refusing to do maths and thinking he was "bad" at maths to it being his favourite subject. Sarah is kind and nurturing and very child centred. We can't thank her enough for all of the support she has given our son and family over the last four years.

Sarah is a diamond. I cannot recommend her enough! My daughter used to cry at the end of every school day because of maths. We found school teachers would teach her one method, and it would always be a method she didn’t understand. She started tutoring with Sarah and her confidence has come on leaps and bounds. Maths was her worst subject and last parents evening her teacher said maths is now her best subject! - this is all from one hour a week! My daughter loves her hour with Sarah and I can’t thank her Sarah enough for all she’s done! My daughter was awarded ‘Wonder of the week’ this week for fractions! She was the first to answer all the questions. She answered them so quickly she doubted she got them right but no, she got them all correct!
Sarah is so good with Ben and his confidence in maths has grown and he loves every lesson highly recommended
