Kip McGrath Hull West

Kip McGrath Hull West provides specialist tuition for primary and secondary students in English and Maths, serving Anlaby, Kirk Ella, Hessle, Willerby and the surrounding area. The centre is run by C-J Lingard, who has extensive teaching experience from primary to university level. As with other centres in the Kip McGrath network, founded in 1976 in Australia, all tutors are qualified teachers, and each child receives a free assessment before a personalised programme is created for their needs.

Families bringing primary-aged children for maths tuition report that Kip McGrath Hull West, based at Faraday House on Wolfreton Drive in Anlaby, helps young learners make progress. The tutoring is delivered on a one-to-one basis, and a parent describes how this individual attention brought a seven-year-old boy on considerably in maths, to the point where he is now doing well at school.

The teachers are described as highly qualified, knowledgeable and friendly, which helps children settle into their sessions. Sessions run after school and on Saturday mornings, and the centre focuses on building pupils' skills and confidence through personalised tuition in maths.
