Genie Tutors Edgbaston

Genie Tutors was established in 2009 and is a national company that was established in Birmingham. It has over 10 years of experience providing tuition in Birmingham and has helped thousands of children achieve. Genie Tutors Edgbaston employs qualified teachers and experienced tutors.

It uses small groups of only 6 children and provides face-to-face tutoring with pen and paper. It sets homework every week and provides an online homework portal. It offers tuition for GCSE, 11+, and SATs and provides feedback every week.

Priory Road has hosted this Edgbaston tuition centre for children preparing for the eleven-plus and broader primary to early-secondary learning, running weekday early-evening sessions and closing on Sundays. Luke, who reviewers describe as having built up a small network of centres over roughly a decade, is named directly by several parents, with one describing a visit where the children present looked smartly presented and fully engaged in their work. Small group sizes are mentioned as allowing tutors to focus on each child's particular strengths and weaknesses, and more than one parent describes siblings attending together over several years as their children have moved from primary into secondary school.

Eleven-plus success features specifically in one review from a parent of five children, all of whom passed the exam after preparation here. Reviewers describe tutors as kind and patient, willing to go beyond a standard lesson plan, and note growing confidence in children who had previously lacked it. Value for the level of service is mentioned by more than one family. The centre draws families from across Edgbaston and the surrounding parts of Birmingham for weekly sessions.
