At the Shirley branch of First Class Learning, based at Richard Taunton Sixth Form College on Hill Lane, tutor Anshu Chandpuri teaches a range of subjects including academic tuition for school-age children and Hindi lessons for younger learners. Several families describe working with Anshu for more than four years across the wider First Class Learning network, citing patience, encouragement and a genuine investment in each child's progress as consistent features of her teaching.

Reviewers mention tailoring of lessons to individual needs, including adapting material for children with additional learning needs as well as stretching material further for children who want an extra challenge. Confidence and academic performance are both mentioned as improving together, with more than one parent describing noticeable gains after a comparatively short period of sessions.

The Hindi lessons are highlighted separately by one family, who describe a five-year-old finding the right balance between structured learning and fun. Communication and responsiveness are mentioned as strong points, with queries answered promptly. The centre is open daily, including full days at weekends, giving families a wide choice of scheduling. Several reviewers mention plans to open additional tuition centres in the area, which they say reflects their satisfaction with Anshu's teaching.
