CES (UK) Ltd | GCSE Tutors | English | Physics | Maths | Birmingham
CES (UK) Ltd, on Washwood Heath Road in Birmingham, provides GCSE and A-level tuition in subjects including maths, English and science, with several reviewers crediting named tutors Clive, Elliot and Hasnain, and Mr Forbes, for clear explanations and reporting substantial grade improvements, including one child moving from around 30% to 80% in maths within a month. Reviewers describe small class sizes, individual attention and regular assessments with feedback. Set against this, a recurring and serious minority of reviews describe being left alone or without full attention during paid one-to-one sessions, tutors eating during lessons, a tutor falling asleep, high monthly fees, and complaints that negative reviews were removed or that students and parents were pressured to leave positive ones. As a GCSE and A-level tuition centre in Birmingham, CES (UK) Ltd holds a 4.8-star average from 311 Google reviews.

I was paying for 1-1 for my son but he was left alone in a room to work alone. This centre is out to make money from hard working parents who want the best for there children and are robbed by this business centre not a tutoring centre . Please stop taking down honest reviews you don't agree with.
Incredibly overpriced and unprofessional 1. Tutors were in and out the room during my 1 to 1 session 2. I have not went up a grade in school after these tuition lessons 3. They use AI to mark our work instead of marking it ourselves (not reliable or realistic) 4. Unprofessional, ate during my paid sessions, leaving me standing waiting whilst they finished to eat. 5. Not a nice environment, inside had an unpleasant odor and i witnessed many spiders and cobwebs (sensitive for me as a special needed individual) 6. Asked me and another client to give the business a good review during a paid session where i was meant to be taught (Continuously bothered me to give good ratings on me and my parents phones) Note: Honest review by someone who has stopped coming here. Note: It isn’t cute taking down honest reviews from clients, please take accountability and accept that your business can’t always be perfect and honest negative reviews will come in. So stop taking down every single review you don’t agree with 🙂
A calm and supportive learning environment with only a small number of students at a time, which allows the teacher to give each student plenty of individual attention. The teacher is highly qualified, dedicated, and genuinely committed to helping students succeed. They adapt their teaching to suit your individual needs. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for supportive and effective tutoring.
I would like to give CES 5 star review because I loved the way the teachers are so experienced and organised and the methods there use is absolutely 100 brilliant. I would recommend any students who are in GCSE to attend CES EDUCATION CENTRE
I was very disappointed with my experience at this tutoring center. The pricing is extremely high compared to the quality of service provided. For what they charge, I expected structured lessons, strong teaching methods, and clear value, but that wasn’t my experience at all. The tutoring felt rushed and inconsistent, and the overall quality did not match the premium price point. While expectations may vary from person to person, I personally did not feel that the service justified the cost. Communication was also not as professional or supportive as I would expect from a place charging these rates. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this tutoring center to others who are looking for good value or high-quality instruction.
I am responding as Jawad’s parent. Your reply focuses on “logical fallacies” but does not address any of the serious concerns raised in my son’s review. Instead of responding to the actual events, you attempted to undermine his credibility which does not change what happened. Here are the issues you still have not addressed: • A tutor falling asleep during a paid session (to which you have admitted over the phone) • Tutors eating food while teaching (You mentioned you had not eaten all day due to a busy schedule, unfortunately my son shouldn’t be paying for your break times whilst standing in the corridors for 15 minutes of his paid time) • My son being left alone in the room while tutors walked out • Being charged for 1-to-1 tuition that was not actually provided • An unknown man entering the classroom making loud noises • Students being pressured to leave positive reviews These are not “misrepresentations.” These are specific events which you have NOT addressed. We stand by every detail. What is even more concerning is the conduct that followed the review. Your centre has contacted me repeatedly, including phone calls as early as 8am, attempting to pressure me into silence. During these calls I was told: • “Mum, don’t believe everything Jawad says.” • “He is not telling the truth.” • “Well mum, now you know not to believe Jawad.” It is wholly inappropriate and unprofessional for a tuition centre to attempt to undermine a young person, especially one with additional needs. I absolutely believe my son, and his detailed, consistent account reflects what he actually experienced. Just for your knowledge all my calls are recorded for safety purposes. This review is not malicious. It is truthful, and other families deserve transparency when choosing a learning environment for their children. Furthermore, I am formally stating that any further attempts to contact me for the purpose of pressuring, intimidating, or coercing me into removing or altering a truthful review must cease immediately. Continued unsolicited contact especially attempts to discredit a minor with additional needs may constitute harassment. All communications have been recorded, and I am prepared to provide these to the appropriate authorities or governing bodies if necessary. Any further intrusion will be treated as a breach of my family’s rights and will be escalated accordingly.
