Best Tutors, in London, provides tuition across maths, English and science from 11-plus through to A-level, with several reviewers, including a solicitor who used the centre across four children's academic journeys, praising named tutors such as Dr Nazir for dedicated teaching that they say helped students achieve improved grades and confidence. However, a substantial and recurring pattern of reviews describes high fees with extra charges for stationery, pressure to add many additional hours of weekly tuition, unprofessional conduct including a teacher shouting and using a whistle, and a serious health-and-safety complaint about an overcrowded lift. A separate reviewer describes poor treatment and repeated payment errors. Experiences of teaching quality appear to vary by tutor and location. As a private tuition centre in London, Best Tutors holds a 3.7-star average from 223 Google reviews.

I have many complaints about this place. First of all it’s SO EXPENSIVE and on top of that they charge you for paper, rubber etc which makes it way more expensive on top of everything. Then you have the teachers brainwashing the mums telling them to send their kids to extra 8+hours of learning and how it’ll benefit them and their gsce anything for the extra money. Some kids go there basically everyday after school that’s just so depressing. And some of the teachers are so under qualified all you need is a mark scheme and that’s it no training.

This is the worst place you could possibly deal with. At the beginning, the owner was eager to attract people and would even plead with them to enroll their children, but over time the situation has become much worse. There is poor treatment, a lack of professionalism, and repeated issues with payments. On several occasions, I was asked to pay again despite having already paid, which caused unnecessary stress and problems. Additionally, the staff do not have sufficient English skills, lack basic computer knowledge, and are not trained in customer service, which wastes customers’ time and makes the overall experience even worse. This has been an extremely bad experience, and I would not recommend anyone to enroll their child there.
Past Tution is the best tutoring I can think of because I have two children who are tutored by it, so I would say that it is the best one, especially when it comes to English and math. Of course, my children have not yet mastered other subjects, so I pointed out that it is the first tutor I have seen and that many children have graduated from it, especially Somali children living in London.
I recently contacted Best Tutors for the first time and was transferred to the admissions department with a few questions regarding a new application. Unfortunately, I was disappointed with the service I received. The staff member I spoke with did not communicate clearly, there was background conversation in another language during the call, and the call was abruptly ended. When I attempted to call back, my call was not answered. As a first point of contact, this experience did not leave a positive impression and raises concerns about the level of professionalism.
It REALLY depends. This tutor is kinda bad,the toilets are sometimes broken, its a bit unprofessional,And if you are genuinely looking to get to the top of your class if you arent the smartest, its def not for you. In my experience,I would say that this tutor is only for people who are already pretty smart compared to peers, and just need to hone their already talented skills, compared to someone who is the bottom of the set. If you've read the reviews, most of the good ones are only from people in year 11 passing GCSE's or something, instead of yr sevens or eights maybe getting better,or not being as clueless. The english department is crazy,if your new in late ks2-early ks3,they talk abt some snow white stuff (idk if its js for me,or everyone who starts) But once your a couple weeks in,they tell you to write paragraphs about using all 6 senses on a person you know, like your uncle(including taste in which they tell you to talk about his food, which you prolly have never tasted.)??? The creativity you need there to actually complete that is inhuman,I couldnt come up with a single idea in my head, especially with how little room for creativity there is in there. And if you're not creative enough, all they do is tell you "Write more" or something, instead of giving you an actual DECENT example to take inspiration from. You're better off asking your english teacher for help. In total,if you're really smart and wanna move forward,Sure,go here. If you aren't the smartest and wanna get that really high push, then this tutor is NOT for you at all. You're better off asking your maths teacher or wtv for extra help on the subject. even now,I've learnt more from my nice math teacher than I ever have, and probably would have from these maths tutors. This place is mostly for the talented,if your grades arent looking so good right now, maybe ask your teacher for extra assistance before you throw money at someone for help. The money hungry allegations also aren't 100% wrong? The minimum is TWO lessons for some reason, you cannot cut it down to one, which is odd. I don't know if there is another reason for this, but it's a bit weird why you can't just do one lesson and leave.
